Kudos to the dcon szeged posse
So now over a week after i have returned to the kingdom, I figured out it was about time for me to do a little reflection of the european drupalCon 2008.
What totally rocked:
1. We had Wifi !
2. Drinks were cheap - felt like a geekStar, buying rounds to everyone around (would probably had happened anyways but this time without getting a call from the bank)
3. The presentations videos are online (boston ... eeem booooston)
4. loads of swag from other drupalShops (so i have something to wear at metal concerts)
5. High level of geeky presentations - the boring tendencies of "business like" presentations were near to null, and loooads of code n stuff - learned a bunch!
6. The small town feeling, every where you went there were drupallers
7. I learned a new Word "Teplpips" (is that correct spelled ken ?)
thats the pronounceable version of tpl.php for you who har not in the "in" crowd
8. Late night talks with super cool people, where we didnt just talked about drupal (WTF!)
9. I got the chance to try convincing the "drupal Frontend book" authors that it should be called "something with jouney"
and "dont stop theming" were brainstormed
10. I ran out of Geek Royale tshirts
11. I got awesome feedback on my session
12. Hooking up with the vikings
13. and decided to have a DrupalCamp in Copenhagen 15-16 november 2006
14. There were social spots (beergarden) that could withstand the pressure of the thirsty drupal horde
15. We closed down 3 bars in one night - that gotta be a geek record?
16. Learned loads of new thingies
17. Talked übercart, so hopefully its gonna be totally European in a couple of months
18. a small city is supercool for a Con, nothing is more than 5 minuts away :)
19. The Geek Love
20. i kinda knows cvs ... baby steps baby ...
What could have been better.
1. Less cheese on food thank you
2. my tshirt print guy screwed me
3. I still cant pronounce "inheritence"
4. my imap didnt worked so no work mails in 4 days ... hmm wait thats a good thing :)
5. my planning up to the next one gotta be better - tired of überstess, and bofs I really wanted to get up and running but didnt had the time for
6. Had to hide from the RCS vodka bottles to write my session
7. To little time to many session
8. Sessions start at 9... come on guys please a bit later
9. My generally lack of presentation knowledge, and didnt have a clean theme with me as i wanted to
10. my card reader sucks so i have no pictures yet
11. nick lepage snores ...
... hmmm Did i miss anything?
20- 11
Well lookis like yet again it was a kick ass DrupalCon- it must really suck if you missed it ;)

Well...
You didn't mention that we managed not to destroy the hotel... and Ken didn't even hear us through the wall! We must drink more beer next time.
And it's TIPPLE-FIPS! (.tpl.php) ;)
Haggish-file
Hey, you forgot the haggish-file :)
TPLPHP
The word is 'tipplephip' -- a mashed way to pronounce .tpl.php. the Drupal template file.
Pronounce -- TIP - ul - FIP.
Much easier to say than template-dot-pee-aitch-pee.
Thanks for the shirt...
Thanks for the shirt... happy to be a Geek Royale.
Also, thought you might enjoy this -

It was indeed a blast.
It was fun closing down so many a bar... night after night.
I missed out on the geekroyale T - so don't forget to a) post the artwork so I can make my own b) set up on caffe press (or similar site) so I can buy one.
I don't mind paying if all proceeds go to your beer budget.
andre
You rock!
It was awesome to meet you, Morten! And thanks for my t-shirt. I totally love it. And your presentation ROCKED too! I think we've got an SCP date at the next DrupalCon too. :)
SCP date

Forgot my axe to a bar
Talking about the Vikings... Any news on when rest of the scandinavia + finnish drunks should invade Denmark? :-)
